Jamaican 100m hurdler Brigitte Foster Hylton is pregnant.
The 41-year-old world champion hurdler and her banking executive husband, Patrick Hylton, are expecting their first child, sources confirmed.
The MVP Track and Field Club also made the announcement via Twitter on Wednesday after teasing fans.
“Yes, a member of the MVP Track and Field Club is pregnant, but no she has never run faster than 10.80 sec for the 100m.”
“Congrats @iaaf 100mH WorldChamp Brigitte Foster Hylton & her husband as they expect their child 1st child next month,” The club said while sharing a photo of a pregnant Hylton.
Foster-Hylton won the silver medal at the 2003 World Championships and the bronze medal at the 2005 World Championships. She won gold at the 2009 World Championships in Berlin, Germany and retired after the London 2012 Olympic games.
She is Jamaica’s most decorated sprint hurdler.
