The police officer convicted in the Home Circuit Court three weeks ago for murdering a 21-year-old woman who dumped him was sentenced to life imprisonment in the Home Circuit Court on Friday.

He’s to serve 25 years behind bars before he’s eligible for parole.

Lincoln McKoy — who was assigned to the Buff Bay CIB Office in Portland — shot dead Jessica King, a cashier of Mil Bank District, at the Errol Flynn Marina in Port Antonio on August 4, 2013 and attempted suicide.
The two were in a relationship that went sour.

INDECOM arrested and charged McKoy for the murder of King on September, 4, 2013.

McKoy’s trial began in the Home Circuit Court, in downtown Kingston on April 4 and concluded with his conviction three Wednesdays ago.
