According to TMZ, some questionable things are happening with Michael Jackson’s Encino property. Someone filed legal papers to transfer ownership of the late icon’s Hayvenhurst family home to Katherine Jackson and his kids.
The filing appears to be a normal occurrence especially since the request is staying within the family but there’s a kicker…Michael Jackson’s estate never authorized it.
TMZ reports that a notarized, handwritten quitclaim deed was filed at the L.A. County Recorder’s Office. What makes this case even more odd is that Michael Jackson is listed as granting the deed to Katherine Jackson and his children, Paris, Prince, and Blanket. How could the pop icon process paperwork posthumously?
Even stranger, representatives from Michael Jackson’s estate, the entity that owns the property, were completely unaware of the document being filed.
There might be a factor of scandal to this mysterious deed too. Katherine allegedly signed the document. TMZ verified the notary public that was present with Katherine in her Calabasas home when she signed the paperwork.
Odd enough, it appears that there are some shenanigans going on in regards to the property. Rumor has it that Katherine Jackson has had a longstanding conflict with the estate for years.
Did she or someone else try to pull a fast one?
