“Key To The City” deejay Alkaline, showed exactly that as he managed to pull thousands of patrons to the National Stadium car park at New Rules on Saturday.
Alkaline ran out shortly after 3 a.m to a huge reception, outdoing Mavado’s on the night.
Patrons were treated to rosy of performances earlier by the likes of Frass Man Brilliant (F.M.B) and Jahmiel who ignited the crowd with a catalogue of hits.
Followed by performances by international recording artiste, Shaggy who delighted the corwd with his ‘boombastic whining’ on stage.
Then came acts by I-Octane, Tarrus Riley and the Gully Gad Mavado.
The juggling between performances was provided by Coppershot, Rebel T, DJ Banka and Team Shella.
Throughout the night various artiste and selectors called for Buju Banton to be free but they were no mention of free up incarcerated deejay Vybz Kartel.
No music from Vybz Kartel or any songs from Gaza affiliated artistes were played throughout the night.
