Magnum, Ms Kitty to host Marina Sundays

Kingston, Jamaica:- High-energy brand Magnum Tonic Wine and media darling Ms Kitty have teamed up to present persons in the eastern side of Kingston a taste of wicked entertainment. The event, a bi-monthly series called Magnum Marina Sundays, will be held on the second and last Sunday of each month, beginning June 12. It will be held at the Danny’s Marina in Harbour View.

Magnum Marina Sundays, according to the event promoter Ms Kitty, will bring attention to an often left our part of Kingston’s party-centric entertainment calendar.

“It’s going to be a cool Sunday time vibe. The best of the 70s, 80s, and 90s. What we will be making sure we do is to cater for the people in the East. Magnum Marina Sundays will fill a void in that side of our city that’s long been empty.”

The event will feature a resident disc jockey, as well as weekly guest disc jockeys throughout the series. The resident disc jockey will be Juju Royal, and the first guest DJ will be the Party Animal himself, Kurt Riley.

“We’re doing it in seasons, and so Magnum Marina Sunday’s kicks off on June 12, for 10 Sundays. After that, we’ll revamp and come again,” Ms Kitty, whose real name is Khadine Hylton, said.

Kaysia Johnson, Magnum’s brand manager, said she saw the partnership between the brand and Ms Kitty as “a natural fit”.

“Ms Kitty has been working with the brand over the years and the partnership has been a mutually beneficial one. So when she approached us to partner with her for Marina Sundays we saw it as a natural fit.”

Johnson continued that Magnum is a brand that delivers on its promise to provide energy and vibes.

“We believe that this event will give the brand an opportunity to reconnect with our consumers and the timing is right to host an event of this nature in an area that has been fairly quiet for some time now. The combination of Magnum and Ms Kitty equals double energy, so patrons can look forward to a great time, great music and great entertainment in a cool atmosphere.”
